I’ve been studying with Kazu san for nearly two years now and I can’t begin to describe how thankful I am for all the help and support he’s given me. My wife had actually studied with Kazu san before and once she had started working for a Japanese company, and we decided to move to Japan together, she introduced Kazu san to me as a way for me to practise my spoken Japanese. Classes with Kazu san are always interesting, and we normally spend the first 10 minutes just chatting (always about interesting topics!) which is so useful! I’ve studied with other teachers and though these were really useful as well, I’m always especially grateful for the corrections that Kazu san gives me to help me improve my grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Due to my personal great experiences with mr Kazu-san, I would like to recommend his classes to other students. He has been my Japanese language teacher for a couple of years, and I could not have wished for a better teacher. His classes are easy to understand and very motivational. He listens to your personal learning goals, and incorporates these goals into his classes. He will also make sure that he will pay extra attention to the subjects you find difficult, and makes the subjects that come easy to you, a bit more difficult. That way your level in Japanese will soon improve. Not only did I learn more than enough Japanese to get around in Japan without any problem, I also made a longlife friend. Therefore my heartfelt recommendation goes to mr Kazu-san.(January 2023)

“First of all I want to make clear that I am only certified till N5, but my understanding of Japan and Japanese culture runs much deeper, most of which is all thanks to Kazu Sensei. Although he is my teacher, I still like to informally call him Kazu San, as he is just as great a friend as he is my teacher.
Just as Japan holds a very special place in my heart, Kazu San is the person who taught to me, in his own unique way, the essence, laid bare of Japan, Japanese language and it’s people; the Heart and Soul as opposed to the language intricacies and cultural boundaries that surround the things of a person’s learning journey, and me as the leaner always knew that there was always more of that essense that I cannot capture without learning about language intricacies and cultural connotations, that culminated in a beautiful cycle, creating in me a desire to learn more and more.
As a person who has spent more than 8 years on trying to learn, quitting again and again, I had the good fortune to meet a teacher like Kazu San through a language exchange site, and gained a lifelong friend and a teacher.
Whenever I learnt from him, suprisingly I never felt the pain and frustration of my own inadequacy but always enjoyed the beauty of language and culture. As life has it’s twists and turns and I was not able to continue my language journey, but writing this review has been a walk down the memory lane of my cherished memories with Kazu San.
